Bergamot Essential Oil

Here in the Northern Hemisphere, especially in Canada the dark days of Autumn are upon us.

Some people find it tough to be without sunlight in the early morning and evening, others are just fine.  If you are affected by the lack of sunlight you may suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder.  If you feel you do have this I recommend seeking the advice of a doctor.  If you would like to also try an alternative therapy to see if you can improve your mood I highly recommend using Bergamot Essential Oil.

This fresh, fruity smelling oil is an uplifting and joyous oil that can improve your mood.  I recommend diffusing a few drops, if you have a diffuser.  You can get a personal inhaler to delight in this scent one whiff at a time, another method is to place a few drops on a tissue and inhale deeply.  Both methods of personal inhalation should be one or two inhales once every hour.

Please note that Bergamot Essential Oil is phototoxic meaning that placing this on your skin and then exposing that skin area to UV rays from the sun or by using a tanning bed can result in your skin being badly burned.  If you have Bergamot Essential Oil on your skin please wait at least 12 hours to expose that skin to UV rays.

If you have any questions about using Bergamot Essential Oil or any Essential Oil I would love to hear from you.  Please comment below.
